- Theme preference: your light/dark choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) and is not sent to us.

- Our hosting and email providers, which host the website, its databases and our email.
- WhatsApp (Meta), when you contact us through it.
- Google (Google Fonts).
- Public authorities, when the law requires it.
6. Transfers outside the UAE
- The website and its databases are stored on hosting servers in the United Kingdom. This is a transfer of personal data outside the UAE under the Personal Data Protection Law, and we rely on the contractual terms with our hosting provider together with technical safeguards (an encrypted HTTPS connection and limited access permissions).
- Some other providers (such as Meta and Google, and possibly our email provider) also process data outside the UAE. We aim to make any such transfer only in the cases permitted by the Personal Data Protection Law.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and quote requests: as long as needed to answer you and follow up on your request.
- Client data: for the duration of our contract, and afterwards for the period required by accounting and tax laws.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Security logs: for as long as needed to protect the website and investigate misuse.
8. How we protect it
- The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to personal data is limited to the team members who need it.
- If a breach affects your personal data, we will take the necessary measures and notify you and the competent authority as required by law.
9. Your rights
- Under the law you can ask to: access your data; receive a copy of it; correct or complete it; delete it; restrict its processing; object to direct marketing; and object to decisions made solely by automated processing (we do not make such decisions on this website).
- Send your request to info@abkari.ae with the subject "Privacy request". We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will respond within the period set by law.
- You can also file a complaint with the UAE Data Office.
10. MotorHub and other client systems
- Personal data of car showroom customers stored in MotorHub, or in any system we run for a client, is not covered by this policy. We process that data on behalf of each client and according to its instructions; the client (for example the showroom) is responsible for it towards its own customers.
11. Changes to this policy
- We may update this policy. The date of the latest version is shown at the top of this page, and the Arabic and English versions are published together.
